| Sammanfattning: | This study aimed to present and discuss some of the most accessible strategies to achieve energy efficiency in residential buildings. Firstly, governmental initiatives that played a significant role in pioneering this topic in Brazil, whether through the creation of agencies, regulations, and laws aimed at promoting energy efficiency and environmental preservation.
Next, the study delves into some of the main areas that involve energy consumption in most households, starting with lighting systems, which constitute the most essential part of any residence or building. Technical applications that aim at comfort and energy efficiency are discussed.
Furthermore, the study addresses air conditioning systems, which are another significant factor in the residential energy landscape due to the excessive energy consumption of the involved equipment and their contribution to greenhouse gas emissions.
Finally, an analysis is conducted in a small residence where we two small projects were devised, one for lighting and another for air conditioning, in accordance with efficiency standards and norms, seeking the best interest of the residents of the house. |
