Resumo:The way of doing journalism has evolved over the years as digital technologies advance. The main objective of this work is to identify the main characteristics of the podcast product and its role in changes in the production pattern of journalistic content, considering that, from the adoption of the transmedia narrative, a new model of audiovisual communication was established. Methodologically, it is a qualitative research with bibliographic characteristics, applying the case study method to support the analysis. Data collection was carried out through research in the profiles of the media platforms of the object of study, in which it was possible to verify that the use of available technological resources is fundamental for the consolidation of new formats and for meeting the needs of the community consumption. The work concludes that traditional models of journalism need to adapt to new scenarios, under penalty of losing space in the digital communication market, due to the rise of news media.
