For this, the socio-spatial context of the constitution of this type of transport will be understood, since the 1990s, the characterization of the workers who carry out the provision of this type of transport and the relation of the motorcycle taxi service to the understanding of the current urban dynamics in Caico, in especially in its central urban area. Thus, as a methodology for the development of this research, it is first necessary to establish the scope of the object of study, without, however, losing sight of its relationship with the totality, with the dynamics of the movement that takes place in the geographic space. Therefore, when discussing the complementary collective transport by motorcycle taxis, we sought to deepen the social and spatial consequences of its presence, especially in a capitalist urban space as unequal as the Caicoense one, in order to build a full citizenship. A presente pesquisa buscará compreender a dinâmica alusiva ao Transporte coletivo complementar, realizado por mototáxis, na área central do espaço urbano de Caicó, importante município do estado do Rio Grande do Norte. Para isso, será entendido o contexto socioespacial de constituição desta tipologia de transporte, desde a década de 1990, a caracterização dos trabalhadores que realizam a prestação deste tipo de transporte e a relação do serviço dos mototáxis para a compreensão da dinâmica urbana atual caicoense, em especial na sua área central urbana. Assim, como metodologia para o desenvolvimento da presente pesquisa faz-se necessário primeiramente estabelecer a abrangência do objeto de estudo, sem, entretanto, perder de vista sua relação com a totalidade, com a dinâmica do movimento que se processa no espaço geográfico.
