| Resumo: | The study was did in the city of Caicó/RN, and aims to identify the origin of the users who use the medical services offered by the Clinical School of the Multicampi School of Medical Sciences of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), as well as to verify if there is a correlation between the geographic origin of the demand served and the area of influence of the regional sub-center of Caicó. The quantitative study was carried out using secondary data collected from the instituition’s database, withinformation corresponding to the period from September 2017 to June 2022. The results show that althought most users are residentes of Caicó, 90,1%, the consultations also reach patientes from surrounding municiplalities, such as Jardim de Piranhas, Jardim do Seridó, Jucurutu, São João do Sabugi and Serra Negra do Norte. Of those residing in Caicó, residents of the Centro, Boa Passagem, Walfredo Gurgel, Barra Nova, João XXIII, Paulo VI, Castelo Branco, Samanaú, Alto da Boa Vista, Nova Caicó and Penedo neighborhoods stand out as the most expressive number of patients. In addition, the number of patientes by sex and age group was measured, concluding that most users are women, 64,5%, and the age group that most seeks care at the instituition are those between 50-59 years and elderly (60-100+). |
