description Chronic non-communicable diseases are the cause of high rates of morbidity and mortality in Brazil and in the world, among them one of the most common is Hypertension, characterized by the sustained flow of blood pressure equal to or greater than 140x90 mmHg. For the pharmacological management of pressure, the continuous use of prescribed medications is crucial, and pharmaceutical care in this scenario is of paramount importance, as it is through this strategy that it is possible with the patient; avoid adverse reactions to antihypertensive drugs, increase therapeutic adherence, resolve doubts and blockages that the patient had about his drug therapy. In this context, the present study aims to map the knowledge about pharmaceutical care in the treatment of patients with arterial hypertension. This is an integrative literature review, with a qualitative approach, carried out in five data sources and in an electronic search engine in April and June 2023. Thirteen studies were selected to compose this review and, after being analyzed, the main ones findings were about the importance of pharmaceutical care to patients with hypertension through the applicability of interventions treated for educational actions, strategies that reduce problems related to medications, clarification of doubts, guidance on the rational use of medications, effective remedies, empowerment and education of the patient about his illness, application use, remote monitoring. It is concluded that the pharmacist is an essential non-pharmacological and non-pharmacological agent of hypertensive patients, since he actively contributes to promoting the health of these users.

As doenças crônicas não transmissíveis são a causa de altos índices de morbimortalidade no Brasil e no mundo, dentre elas uma das mais comuns é a Hipertensão Arterial, caracterizada pela elevação sustentada da pressão arterial igual ou superior a 140x90 mmHg. Para o manejo farmacológico da pressão é crucial o uso contínuo de medicamentos prescritos e atenção farmacêutica nesse cenário é de suma importância, pois é por meio dessa estratégia que é possível junto ao paciente; evitar reações adversas de anti-hipertensivos, aumentar a adesão terapêutica, sanar as dúvidas e incertezas que o paciente possua sobre sua terapia medicamentosa. Neste contexto, o presente estudo tem como objetivo mapear o conhecimento acerca da atenção farmacêutica no tratamento de pacientes com hipertensão arterial. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com abordagem qualitativa, realizada em cinco fontes de dados e em buscador eletrônico no mês de Abril e Junho de 2023. Foram selecionados para compor esta revisão 13 estudos e após serem analisados mostraram que os principais achados foram sobre a importância da atenção farmacêutica a pacientes portadores de hipertensão através da aplicabilidade de intervenções voltadas para ações educativas, estratégias que diminuíssem os problemas relacionados a medicamentos, esclarecimentos de dúvidas, orientações sobre o uso racional dos medicamentos, interações medicamentosas, empoderamento e educação do paciente sobre sua doença, uso de aplicativo, monitoramento remoto.
