Resumo:ABSTRACT Among the various sectors of a public hospital, there is the hospital pharmacy, in which the pharmacist is the technical and administrative responsible, with the main function of maintaining integrity and health with quality in patient care, seeking efficiency in the use of public resources and having the rational and safe use of drugs, as a care, preventive, investigative objective and performance of hospital pharmaceutical care. The Pharmaceutical Supply Center in the hospital unit is a pharmaceutical service that performs various activities such as: receipt, selection, programming, acquisition, storage, distribution and dispensing of medicines, as well as planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring and evaluating the actions of Pharmaceutical Assistance and effectively carrying out the cycle of pharmaceutical assistance, being one of the most important steps in a hospital pharmacy. The pharmaceutical professional directly contributes to the outcome of the treatment of every patient in the hospital, since through their actions it is possible to guarantee a specific treatment, thus guaranteeing the rational use of medicines. This study aims to address the attributions of the pharmaceutical professional in a pharmaceutical supply center (CAF) of a public hospital.
