Resumo:The present research aims to show possible alternatives in order to preserve health and promote a culture of safety in the work of the Federal Public Administration worker, to the detriment of the current strategy, mostly applied, of pecuniary reward of the public agent for exposure to risk. To this end, an investigation will be carried out on the evolutionary stages of worker protection, observing the legal developments and doctrinal notes, as well as a joint analysis of the results obtained in consultation with the Ministry of Economy, and in the Smartlab system, as well as professional experiences from working as a member of the Working Group for the Study of Occupational Additional. The results showed a worrying scenario of deviation from the purpose of the principles of worker protection, since it was possible to observe a relevant number of occupational accidents or diseases that occurred within the public service. On the other hand, exorbitant amounts are envisaged for the monetization of risk, instead of implementing preventive measures to counteract environmental risk agents. As a result, seven possible paths were pointed out to mitigate or solve the aforementioned problem.
