Resumo:Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, called Sars-Cov-2, which causes COVID-19, which occurred at the beginning of 2020, Brazilian institutions implemented restrictions that resulted in the stoppage of face-to-face activities in order to reduce crowds and contain the spread of the disease. Although technology has advanced to levels where it already allowed us to have quick access to information and communicate from a distance, it was with the need to isolate ourselves that many places were forced to adhere to the teleworking modality, and in the case of schools, to adhere to the remote classes. Even so, not all people had access to technologies, which made it difficult to continue with their activities remotely. In the current scenario, the year 2023, after the distribution of vaccines and the implementation of return protocols informing the means of prevention, most of the population managed to return to their routine almost normally. The present work will seek to help the discussions about how the return of face-to-face activities occurred, based on the experience and report of the management team of a school in the municipal network of Natal, RN. The study comprises the period of total stoppage of activities during the COVID-19 Pandemic, which occurred at the beginning of 2020, until the present moment, June of 2023. it only took place at the end of 2021, after almost two years of stoppage of face-to-face activities. The research reports the biggest challenges experienced during the pandemic and the effects identified after the pandemic, indicating that the school interviewed is a small portrait of the challenges of Brazilian public basic education.
