Resumo: | Leadership is a phenomenon present in several spheres. Within the organizational
field, this is a factor of great impact, since the leader is responsible for establishing
goals, making decisions, and motivating the collaborators. In view of this, this article
aims to analyze the leadership styles in the context of the Currais Novos-RN City
Hall. The methodology used was a case study, with a qualitative approach, using the
questionnaire as a technique of data collection. The questionnaire was applied,
obtaining 6 respondents, working in the Health and Administration Secretaries of the
City Hall, ranging in age from 28 to 53 years old, with at least a college degree.
When answering the questions, they predominantly identified themselves with the
actions and characteristics of the democratic style, not identifying themselves with
the actions presented in the autocratic and liberal styles, reaching the conclusion that
in the institution, considering the group investigated, the predominant leadership style
is the democratic one, where the leaders present communicative and cooperative
characteristics towards their respective teams. |
