Análise do perfil dos gestores municipais de saúde em âmbito nacional: uma revisão integrativa
description Recently, there has been a growing demand for studies about the characteristics of municipal health managers within the Unified Health System and how their actions affect the health sector. Municipal health secretaries play a fundamental role in guaranteeing the right to health and are the main health authorities in their respective municipalities. Therefore, it is essential to gain knowledge about the individuals who occupy these management positions across the country. Objective: To identify articles published in Portuguese in the scientific literature between 2013 and 2023 that address the profile of municipal health managers as an object of study. Method: an integrative bibliographic review was carried out through a search in the BVS, Lilacs and SciELO databases. In total, 1,380 articles were found, but only 05 were selected to compose the study, following criteria such as full availability of articles, Portuguese language and publication between the years 2013 and 2023. Results: most municipal health managers in Brazil consist of mainly white women, aged between 30 and 40 years, and higher education, predominantly in the areas of nursing or administration. However, it is clear that this field still needs a greater representation of black, yellow and indigenous people. Final considerations: the expansion of the role of nurses and administrators in the management of the health system has been observed, highlighting the importance of carrying out research that identifies the opportunities and challenges in the training process for work in the management of the Unified Health System.

Recentemente, tem havido uma crescente demanda por estudos acerca das características dos gestores municipais de saúde no âmbito do Sistema Único de Saúde e como suas ações afetam o setor de saúde. Os secretários municipais de saúde desempenham um papel fundamental na garantia do direito à saúde e são as autoridades sanitárias principais de seus respectivos municípios. Portanto, é essencial adquirir conhecimento sobre os indivíduos que ocupam essas posições de gestão em todo o país. Objetivo: Identificar artigos publicados em língua portuguesa na literatura científica entre 2013 e 2023 que abordam o perfil dos gestores municipais de saúde como objeto de estudo. Método: foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica integrativa por meio de uma busca nas bases de dados BVS, Lilacs e SciELO. No total, foram encontrados 1.380 artigos, porém apenas 05 foram selecionados para compor o estudo, seguindo critérios como disponibilidade integral dos artigos, idioma português e publicação entre os anos de 2013 e 2023. Resultados: a maioria dos gestores municipais de saúde no Brasil consiste principalmente de mulheres brancas, com idades entre 30 e 40 anos, e formação superior, predominantemente nas áreas de enfermagem ou administração. No entanto, é evidente que esse campo ainda necessita de uma representação maior de pessoas negras, amarelas e indígenas.
