Resumo:In air conditioning projects, the thermal load of the premises is calculated in order to establish thermal comfort parameters, according to NBR 16401-1. The choice of an air conditioning system becomes an important step in the projects, so criteria should be established that will guarantee established requirements. The selection of air conditioning system is defined, for the most part, on the basis of criteria of technical and financial knowledge, without the use of methods with weights.The application of the WISP method began with the construction of the decision matrix, in which the selection alternatives, corresponding to a air conditioning system, were raised, and the selection criteria, which were quantitative, such as quantity of machines, total price and capacity, and qualitative such as energy efficiency, positioning of the machines, civil interventions, noise and preventive maintenance. Subsequently, the weights of the selection criteria were weighted by the direct allocation method, based on importance and application. The WISP method applied to the definition of the best air conditioning system for a cinema room proved effective, achieving its objective, as it obtained as the main result the recommendation of the Multi-split system for the environment in question. Compared to the basic article, it obtained a different result, but proved the result of the base article of (BEZERRA, 2021) and the method applied showed efficiency in expanding the criteria.
