Motivação no trabalho voluntário: um estudo com os alunos do curso de Administração da FELCS-UFRN.
description The present study aimed to understand the motivation to develop voluntary work of the students of the Administration course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering, Letters and Social Sciences of Seridó - FELCS. In order to understand and approach the subject of volunteering, studies carried out by authors who deal with the subject were used, serving to guide the research framework, which is divided into three sections: volunteer work; types of volunteering; and motivations for volunteer work. The research is based on a quantitative investigation approach with the specific public. Data were collected through a research instrument, a questionnaire, applied online using the Google Forms tool, and 45 responses were obtained. From the data collected, it was found that entering the university is not a determining factor in the evasion of individuals in volunteering. In this sense, the research shows that, in the field of motivations inherent to the practice of volunteering, the most frequent are socialization, personal fulfillment, the desire to participate actively in society and the quest to discover new realities. The benefits that people expect to acquire from their action as volunteers are based on their participation in society, such as the creation of social ties and enrichment at a curricular, personal and professional level. O presente estudo objetivou entender a motivação para desenvolver o trabalho voluntário dos alunos do curso de Administração da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, no campus da Faculdade de Engenharias, Letras e Ciências Sociais do Seridó - FELCS. Para entender e abordar o tema voluntariado, foram utilizados estudos realizados por autores que tratam sobre o tema, servindo para nortear o referencial da pesquisa que está dividido em três seções: o trabalho voluntário; tipos de voluntariado; e motivações para o trabalho voluntário. A pesquisa fundamenta-se em uma abordagem de investigação quantitativa com o público específico. Os dados foram coletados por meio do instrumento de pesquisa, questionário, aplicado em formato on-line por meio da ferramenta do Google Forms, e foram obtidas 45 respostas. A partir dos dados coletados, constatou-se que o ingresso na universidade não é um fator determinante na evasão dos indivíduos no voluntariado. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa mostra que, no campo das motivações inerentes à prática do voluntariado, as mais frequentes são a socialização, a realização pessoal, o querer participar ativamente na sociedade e a busca por conhecer novas realidades. Os benefícios que as pessoas esperam adquirir com a sua ação enquanto voluntários estão baseadas na sua participação na sociedade, como a criação de laços sociais e o enriquecimento a nível curricular, pessoal e profissional.
