Resumo:The study investigates the relationship between fans and artists in the context of the digital era, focusing specifically on the consumption of physical CDs. With the advancement of technology, the music market has undergone significant transformations. Physical CDs have experienced a decline in demand following the popularization of streaming; however, they still play a relevant role in the emotional connection between fans and their favorite artists. The research aims to comprehend the importance of physical CDs by analyzing the symbolic meaning attributed to these artifacts and their representativeness within fan culture. Furthermore, considering the impact of these physical objects on the audience relationship, the study also examines interviews with Lady Gaga fans from Natal to deepen the understanding of this phenomenon and its implications in the music market, aiming to provide insights into this new form of consumption.
