description |
This work develops a new methodology of artificial neural networks for
obtaining constant fatigue life curves of composites using the Levemberg
Marquard training algorithm and the synaptic weights initialization technique
proposed by Glorot and Bengio. For this, its usefulness was verified in a fiberglass
laminate designated as DD16, comparing its results with previous analyses
presented in the literature. The objective of this work is to compare different
training and initialization algorithms in order to verify the behavior of the mean
squared error curves of the training set and the total data set, as a function of the
training epochs, to analyze the repeatability of the developed ANNs, and to
identify the behavior of the signal noise. Four cases of ANN training were
analyzed using the Back-Propagation (BP) algorithm, the Levemberg-Marquardt
algorithm, with and without Glorot's weights initialization. From the results
obtained, it was observed that the Levemberg Marquard algorithm has
advantages in relation to previously applied methodologies, making the results
more reliable, however, it is still necessary to perform new tests for other materials
to confirm the results. Another fact observed is that the utilization of the Glorot and
Yoshua initialization method presented improvements in repeatability in the ANN
trained with LM and worsening in the ANN trained with BP, when compared with
the standard initialization method. |

Another fact observed is that the utilization of the Glorot and Yoshua initialization method presented improvements in repeatability in the ANN trained with LM and worsening in the ANN trained with BP, when compared with the standard initialization method. 2023-07-12T17:32:52Z 2023-07-12T17:32:52Z 2023-07-07 bachelorThesis BARBOSA, Lucas Alexandre Gomes.
