Resumo:Objective: to discuss user embracement as a cross-cutting theme in health manager training and its benefits for health management. Methods: this is an experience report of actions taken in the Hospital Management course at UFRN and practices in health institutions in Natal/RN, based on an intervention that would improve user embracement. The qualitative method was used, based on practices experienced during gains in health management. Relevant aspects of welcoming were identified and their impacts on the daily practice of the manager were analyzed. Results: reception as an important theme in the training of health managers brings benefits. Through the theme, there is an improvement in the quality of care, strengthening of the relationship between professionals and users of the health service, and promotion of a healthy and productive work environment. It is believed that this approach can contribute to building a more humanized and effective health system, resulting in a better quality of life for users. Final Considerations: although limited to reporting a specific experience, the results suggest that user embracement can be a valuable approach to health management, providing more humane and efficient care. It is recommended that new research be carried out to expand knowledge in this area and explore teaching strategies that strengthen the training of managers in relation to user embracement.
