| Resumo: | The textile sector plays an important role in the global industry and in meeting the demand for fabrics generated by population interests. The production process of cotton fabric involves several stages, including yarn sizing and subsequent fabric desizing. In this study, tests conducted in a textile industry laboratory using enzymes and detergents as desizing agents for yarns will be presented, aiming to propose the development of a procedure for evaluating the uniformity of sizing by sizing cylinders. Both desizing agents investigated in this study showed efficacy for the proposed objective. Based on the results obtained, the procedure using detergent was chosen as the standard, serving as the basis for the creation of a Standard Operating Procedure in the industry in question. |
