| Resumo: | Objective: to understand the perception of professionals working in a teaching hospital about the patient safety culture. Method: this is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. 56 professionals from the multidisciplinary team participated, namely: nurse, pharmacist, physiotherapist, speech therapist, physician, psychologist and nursing technician. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, in January 2023. The textual content was subjected to lexicographical analysis and data analysis was based on current and relevant literature on the subject. Results: five classes were followed: symptoms about patient safety and safety culture; actions to strengthen patient safety; we were about the performance of the NSP; contributions to strengthen the safety culture and professional performance in patient safety. Final considerations: the professionals denoted understanding the patient safety culture as the way to go to promote patient safety and considered that the patient safety culture in the hospital has promising and consistent trajectories. |
