Descrição
Resumo:This study addresses the processes of teaching and learning music in social projects located in the region of Alto Oeste Potiguar, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The main objective is to analyse the musical practices developed in the active projects of this region, identify the challenges faced in teaching music in this context and understand the teaching-learning processes involved. Methodologically, the research started with a bibliographical review around the role of music education in social contexts, involved a mapping and identification of the active social projects in the region, followed by the application of two methods of data collection: 1) semi-structured interviews; 2) questionnaires elaborated and sent through digital forms. The research involved the participation of fourteen teachers whose responses provided data that revealed essential aspects related to the teaching and learning of music in the context of social projects within the geographical area covered. The results obtained allow us to highlight the importance of these projects as agents of transformation in communities, providing learning opportunities and development for children and young people, playing an important role in promoting music education.
