| Resumo: | Objective: to map how the kidnapping of newborns in Brazilian maternity
hospitals is presented in the context of digital media. Method: this is a
documentary study, with a quantitative and qualitative, exploratory and
descriptive approach. Data were collected about the title, year of publication,
federative unit, news source, approach to digital media, guidelines used,
contributing factors, implemented actions and the role of the manager. Result
and discussion: the final sample consisted of fifteen studies. All studies that
belong to this sample are composed of news and reports with publications in
2013 to 2021 and in seven different federative units. Conclusion: the lack of
information regarding the role of the manager in the reports can be noticed, as
it is a factor that draws attention due to the importance of quality management
in the context of patient safety in relation to newborn kidnappings. |
