Comparing the work of both authors, we investigated possible correlations between the notion of war of all against all and the struggle for existence, as well as both possible approaches to human nature and the origin of morality. Through exploratory and bibliographical research, the philosophical writings of the naturalist biologist Thomas Huxley were also investigated, as well as the patent Hobbesian influence suffered by the author, which made Hobbes, to a large extent, popular in evolutionary biology. O presente trabalho monográfico aborda a compreensão de uma sugerida relação entre as ideias propostas por Thomas Hobbes e Charles Darwin. Comparando o trabalho de ambos os autores, investigou se possíveis correlações entre a noção de guerra de todos contra todos e luta pela existência, bem como ambas as abordagens possíveis quanto a natureza humana e a origem da moralidade.
