description On a daily basis, several violations of women's human rights are verified, whether in the public or domestic environment, in all countries around the world, given the different proportions and specificities, a reflection of a historical process of inferiorization and socio-political exclusion through which this group has passed. In this context, inter-American feminism emerged in order to combat the serious violations of rights that threaten the lives and dignity of women, especially in Latin America. Thus, the question is: what does inter-american feminism consist of and what are its contributions to the realization of women's human rights in Brazil? In order to answer this question, the main purpose of this course conclusion work is to analyze the international protection of women's human rights and its consequences in Brazil. To this end, a study will be carried out on inter-American feminism, as well as its contributions to the Brazilian State, with regard to the protection of the human rights of this vulnerable social group. In this way, a bibliographic review will be carried out on the subject, based on the gender perspective, in addition to a documentary analysis of regulations and manifestations of the Inter-American System for the Protection of Human Rights on the subject. Finally, Brazilian legislation, decisions and initiatives will be explored, protecting women, motivated/influenced by inter-american feminism. Therefore, it’s a qualitative and descriptive research, with regard to the approach, and exploratory and explanatory, in relation to the achievement of objectives, through the deductive method. This research is justified by the social relevance and topicality of the theme and resulted in the realization that inter-American feminism has brought and continues to bring numerous contributions to the realization of the human rights of Brazilian women, such as the Maria da Penha Law and Recommendation nº 128 of the National Council Justice. It remains for their standards to be more/better developed in the country.

Cotidianamente, são verificadas diversas violações aos direitos humanos das mulheres, seja no ambiente público ou doméstico, em todos os países do globo, dadas as diferentes proporções e especificidades, reflexo de um processo histórico de inferiorização e exclusão sociopolítica pelo qual passou esse grupo. Nesse contexto, surgiu o feminismo interamericano, a fim de combater as graves violações de direitos que ameaçam a vida e a dignidade de mulheres, especialmente na América Latina. Desse modo, indaga-se: em que consiste o feminismo interamericano e quais as suas contribuições para efetivação dos direitos humanos das mulheres no Brasil? Visando responder tal questionamento, o presente trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como principal intuito analisar a proteção internacional dos direitos humanos das mulheres e seus reflexos no Brasil. Para tanto, será realizado um estudo acerca do feminismo interamericano, bem como investigadas quais as suas contribuições para o Estado brasileiro, no que se refere a proteção dos direitos humanos desse grupo social vulnerável. Dessa maneira, será realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema, fundamentada na perspectiva de gênero, além de uma análise documental de normativas e manifestações do Sistema Interamericano de Proteção aos Direitos Humanos sobre à temática. Por fim, serão exploradas legislações, decisões e iniciativas brasileiras, protetivas às mulheres, motivadas/influenciadas pelo feminismo interamericano. Assim, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva, no que diz respeito à forma de abordagem, e exploratória e explicativa, em relação ao alcance dos objetivos, por meio do método dedutivo. Tal pesquisa justifica-se pela relevância social e atualidade do tema e resultou na constatação de que o feminismo interamericano trouxe e continua trazendo inúmeras contribuições para efetivação dos direitos humanos das mulheres brasileiras, a exemplo da Lei Maria da Penha e da Recomendação nº 128 do Conselho Nacional de Justiça.
