A qualitative methodology was adopted. The instruments for collect, organize, and analyze the data were used. The research identified the main technical and interpretative difficulties of the work, focusing on the stylistic issues that characterize the performance of this type of repertoire. In the realization of the work, the concepts on which the research was founded were presented; a semi structured interview was conducted with the composer and an analysis of the Concertino. To prepare the performance of the piece, the following technical aspects were addressed: sonority, articulation, flexibility, and stylistic elements. As a result, the objectives achieved, proposed by the research, were presented, deliberating the main methodological and technicalinterpretative directions for the development of the piece. This research contributes to the expansion of the horn repertoire in choro, and may be inserted in the catalog of works of the repertoire for horn and band in Brazil. As well as for the academic universe and for those who wish to study technical, interpretative aspects of choro performance, this material serves as a guide to popular music. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar as principais características técnico-interpretativas e possibilidades de aprendizagem do Concertino Dayanderson no Choro para trompa e banda. Adotou-se uma metodologia com o caráter qualitativo. Foram utilizados instrumentos de coleta, organização e análise dos dados. A pesquisa identificou as principais dificuldades técnicas e interpretativas da obra, focando nas questões estilísticas que caracterizam a performance desse tipo de repertório. Na realização do trabalho, foram apresentados os conceitos que fundamentaram a pesquisa; foi feita uma entrevista semiestruturada com o compositor e uma análise do Concertino. Para a preparação da performance da obra foram abordados os seguintes aspectos técnicos: sonoridade, articulação, flexibilidade e elementos estilísticos. Como resultado, foram apresentados os objetivos alcançados, propostos pela pesquisa, deliberando os principais direcionamentos metodológicos e técnico-interpretativos para o desenvolvimento da peça. Esta pesquisa contribui para a expansão do repertório de trompa no choro, podendo estar inserido no catálogo de obras do repertório para trompa e banda no Brasil.
