For this, it was necessary to divide the research into two stages. In the first stage, the process and study strategies adopted were presented, and, in the second stage, analysis of the practice and observations of its implications for instrumental practice were carried out. The methodological procedures include interviews with Lui Coimbra, Marcelo Vieira, Natasha Farny and Kely Pinheiro, cellists who have experience in singing and playing simultaneously. In addition, two pieces were selected and studied, being the first Colóquio by Lindemberg Cardoso and the second O Último Romântico by Lulu Santos. We hope this research will facilitate and encourage cellists' reflection and contact with this type of work. Esta é uma pesquisa autoetnográfica que tem por finalidade o estudo da prática de cantar e tocar violoncelo de forma simultânea, tendo como objetivo principal investigar quais as implicações desta prática para o violoncelista. Para tal, foi necessário dividir a pesquisa em duas etapas. Na primeira, apresentou-se o processo e as estratégias de estudo adotadas; e, na segunda etapa, ocorreram análises da prática e observações de suas implicações para a prática instrumental. Os procedimentos metodológicos contam com entrevistas com Lui Coimbra, Marcelo Vieira, Natasha Farny e Kely Pinheiro, violoncelistas que têm experiência na prática de cantar e tocar de forma simultânea. Além disso, duas peças foram selecionadas e estudadas, sendo elas Colóquio de Lindemberg Cardoso e O último Romântico de Lulu Santos.
