| Resumo: | This work presents a project for an FTTH optical network (Fiber To The Home). The main objective is to design an optical network for Capim Macio, a neighborhood of Natal/RN, at a previously defined penetration rate. The old infrastructure based on metallic cable is obsolete, specially considering the current users consumption profile that requires higher transmission rate for modern applications. This work deals with this problem by presenting an FTTH network capable of delivering Internet connection to applications in a reliable, stable, and secure way. This project was used as a reference guidance for deploying the network, and this version, better documented, generated this monograph. |
