الملخص:Brazil has one of the best solar resources in the world due to the high annual radiation that arrives in the country, combined with its geography, climate and other fiscal aspects, make it an ideal location for the implementation of different solar projects. This study presents a technical and economic feasibility analysis for the implementation of photovoltaic solar plants in airports in Brazil, with Fortaleza International Airport used as a case study. For technical analysis, the geographic conditions of the region where the airport is located will be evaluated, as well as aspects of operation and maintenance of the system and the electrical network close to the airport. Economically, the PV system was evaluated according to financial indicators based on discounted cash flow such as Net Present Value (NPV), Discounted Payback Period (DPBP), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Profitability Ratio (IR) and the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE). The results reveal that for both scenarios evaluated it is feasible to install a photovoltaic plant at the airport, since the investment would have a financial return in less than 10 years.
