Resumo:The present work was built from the experiences lived in the field of mandatory supervised internship I and II, carried out at the Maternidade Escola Januário Cicco-MEJC/UFRN, this one aims to analyze about the restriction of the companion in the High Risk sector of the MEJC, in the period of the Covid-19 pandemic, reflecting on how the context was before and after the coronavirus and how this situation impacts the performance of Social Work, given the new demands implemented in the institution in order to comply with the sanitary measures determined by the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as the Ministry of Health (MS). The methodological aspects used were, exploratory research, aiming to investigate and approach the theme, as well as a bibliographical review was carried out in order to collect data on high-risk pregnancies and the impacts of the pandemic on this vulnerable population and finally, the Marx's social theory through its critical-dialectical bias. In general, it was possible to apprehend how the restriction of the companion contributed to violating women's rights, in addition to understanding that there were safe means to maintain sanitary measures, defending collective health while guaranteeing a universal right.
