description Distance Education is still growing in relevance nowadays, and for this modality, the so-called virtual learning environments (VLE) have emerged as support for the application of courses. Among them we can highlight the Moodle platform, which allows the creation and management of courses. In addition to AVAs, for planning and defining the strategies of these courses, tools are available for defining and visualizing the instructional design - ID, which is the field of study responsible for designing the planning of a course. Such tools allow the construction of flowcharts, such as the Authoring Tool for Instructional Design (ATID), which allows teachers to define or import the DI of a course from the integration with Moodle. ATID currently has a demand for teachers to be notified about the activities that make up the ID. Thus, the objective of this research is the development of a notification module, which will help teachers in monitoring ID activities. In addition, we seek to investigate themes and characteristics associated with notification systems, the definition of the structure and presentation of notifications, the execution of tests with the module already developed and the application of a questionnaire to evaluate the module. Thus, this research is guided by the question of how it is possible to improve the monitoring of ID activities through notifications. The methodology used was Design Science Research (DSR) using the method known as Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) which provided a model for identifying the problem, defining the objectives, developing, demonstrating the results, user evaluation and communicating the results. As a result, it can be highlighted that the users who participated in the test were satisfied with the inclusion of notifications within the ID, who believe that this inclusion will facilitate the teaching work by providing better monitoring of the course, in addition to the fact that notifications can help in the identification of difficulties in the class.

A Educação a Distância ainda continua crescendo em relevância nos tempos atuais, e para essa modalidade, os chamados ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem (AVA) surgiram como apoio para a aplicação de cursos. Entre eles pode-se destacar a plataforma Moodle, a qual permite a criação e gerenciamento de cursos. Além de AVAs, para o planejamento e definição das estratégias desses cursos, tem-se à disposição ferramentas para definição e visualização do design instrucional - DI, que trata-se do campo de estudo responsável pelo desenho do planejamento de um curso. Tais ferramentas permitem a construção de fluxogramas, como a Authoring Tool for Instructional Design (ATID), a qual permite que professores definam ou importem o DI de um curso a partir da integração com o Moodle. A ATID possui hoje uma demanda para que professores possam ser notificados a respeito das atividades que compõem o DI. Dessa forma objetiva-se nesta pesquisa o desenvolvimento de um módulo de notificações, o qual auxiliará os professores no acompanhamento das atividades do DI. Além disso, buscase investigar temas e características associadas à sistemas de notificações, a definição da estrutura e apresentação das notificações, a execução de testes com o módulo já desenvolvido e a aplicação de um questionário para avaliação da módulo. Assim, essa pesquisa é norteada pelo questionamento de como é possível melhorar o acompanhamento de atividades do DI por meio de notificações. A metodologia utilizada foi a Design Science Research (DSR) utilizandose do método conhecimento como Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) que proveu um modelo para identificação do problema, definição dos objetivos, desenvolvimento, demonstração dos resultados, avaliação do usuário e comunicação dos resultados.
