With regard to the nutritional situation of quilombola children, non-exclusive breastfeeding prevails over the years until the present time, with the introduction of other foods before six months. The general objective of this work was to understand the particularities of the quilombola population regarding breastfeeding. An integrative review was carried out, with a search based on descriptors in the main databases. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, five articles were selected for analysis. The main results showed that: the practice of breastfeeding and feeding the child and the nursing mother are endowed with intergenerational beliefs and actions; difficulties in continuing breastfeeding are primarily associated with economic and housing vulnerability; prevalence of early discontinuation of exclusive breastfeeding; breastfeeding, even with the introduction of other foods, generally prolonged until the recommended age. A prática do aleitamento materno exclusivo até os 6 (seis) meses de idade vem de recomendações formuladas por órgãos de saúde do Brasil e de todo o mundo, e está associada às boas condições de saúde e nutrição das crianças e maior probabilidade de resistência à infecções durante o crescimento, bem como redução das taxas de mortalidade infantil. No que se refere à situação nutricional de crianças quilombolas, prevalece ao longo dos anos até os tempos atuais o aleitamento materno não exclusivo, com a introdução de outros alimentos antes dos seis meses. Este trabalho teve como objetivo geral compreender quais as particularidades da população quilombola referente ao aleitamento materno. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa, com busca a partir de descritores nas principais bases de dados. Após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram selecionados cinco artigos para a análise. Os principais resultados apontam que: a prática de amamentar e a alimentação da criança e da nutriz são dotados de crenças e ações intergeracionais; as dificuldades em dar continuidade ao aleitamento são primordialmente associadas à vulnerabilidade econômica e de moradia; prevalência da descontinuidade precoce do aleitamento materno exclusivo; aleitamento materno, ainda que com a introdução de outros alimentos, geralmente prolongado até idade recomendada. 2023-03-07T17:48:46Z 2023-03-07T17:48:46Z 2023-02-24 bachelorThesis LIMA, Larissa Tainá Barbosa de.
