| Resumo: | COVID-19 is a multisystem disease that has the possibility of progressing to a chronic state with complex and diverse symptoms due to the ability of the virus to spread in the body. Acupuncture has been shown to be an effective technique in the treatment of infection with positive effects in reducing the intensity of symptoms, as well as in the length of hospital stay of patients. This work aims to understand the pathological process caused by the virus infection in the western and eastern view, report the main symptoms presented by patients and present the treatment strategies used in the therapeutic intervention of patients using acupuncture. |
