Resumo: | In Brazil, the need for training of workers with high school or elementary school formation in the health sector has manifested itself since the mid-1980s due to the large number of unskilled workers in health services. The reflections in this article refer to the projects developed in the field of professional health education in the years 2000 in the country. The article is the result of a documentary research that focused on the Professionalization Project of Nursing Workers (PROFAE), the Training Program of Local Health Surveillance Agents (PROFORMAR) and the Training Program for High School Professionals Health (PROFAPS). It is necessary to follow up on these initiatives so that in its development, it does not lose, in essence, the political and epistemological references necessary for the training of workers who work in the health area, since the courses developed have a large amount of workers involved in the services offered to the population |
