It was carried out from research in articles and dissertations how important it is to have knowledge on the subject and start working on it from the early years of the citizen's social cycle. In summary, the general characteristics of this theme promote the benefits of having conscious habits and consumption in the life of every citizen, as the topic has been presented in official documents such as the National Strategy for Financial Education (ENEF) and the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). In addition, a reflection is made on the problems that occurred from academic training to his performance as a professional in education in the classroom. Furthermore, alternatives are proposed to overcome the aforementioned challenges. And finally, it was concluded, therefore, that an effective program of Financial Education must be inserted as a curricular component of elementary and secondary education in schools on a mandatory basis. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo principal apresentar a importância da implementação do ensino de Educação Financeira, em específico no âmbito dos espaços da criança, adolescente e docentes no ambiente escolar. Foi realizado a partir de pesquisas em artigos e dissertações o quão importante é ter conhecimento no assunto e começar a trabalhá-lo desde os anos iniciais do ciclo social do cidadão. Em síntese, as características gerais desse tema, promovem na vida de cada cidadão os benefícios de ter hábitos e consumos conscientes, como o tópico vem sendo apresentado em documentos oficiais como a Estratégia Nacional de Educação Financeira (ENEF) e a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). Além disso, faz-se reflexão sobre os problemas ocorridos desde a formação acadêmica até a sua atuação como profissional da educação em sala de aula. Para mais, realiza-se alternativas para contornar os desafios citados.
