Resumo:The main objective of this work was to present the importance of implementing the teaching of Financial Education, specifically within the scope of the spaces of children, adolescents and teachers in the school environment. It was carried out from research in articles and dissertations how important it is to have knowledge on the subject and start working on it from the early years of the citizen's social cycle. In summary, the general characteristics of this theme promote the benefits of having conscious habits and consumption in the life of every citizen, as the topic has been presented in official documents such as the National Strategy for Financial Education (ENEF) and the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). In addition, a reflection is made on the problems that occurred from academic training to his performance as a professional in education in the classroom. Furthermore, alternatives are proposed to overcome the aforementioned challenges. And finally, it was concluded, therefore, that an effective program of Financial Education must be inserted as a curricular component of elementary and secondary education in schools on a mandatory basis.
