Resumo:Introduction: COVID-19 is a worldwide spreading disease. Studies point to the permanence of symptoms in the post-COVID-19 period, even if they are mild cases. Affected individuals present a series of symptoms after infection, among which are dyspnea, muscle fatigue and decreased functional capacity. In addition, they may have numerous functional limitations, which have implications for the individual's quality of life. Objective: To evaluate the functional capacity and quality of life in post-COVID-19 individuals. Methodology: Observational, analytical and descriptive study, with hospitalized or non-hospitalized post-COVID-19 patients. The individuals performed the 6-minute Walk Test (6MWT) and answered the Post-COVID-19 Functional Status Scale (PCFS), in addition to the Quality of Life Questionnaire (SF-36). Results: The research subjects performed 116% of the predicted value for the distance covered in the 6MWT, which demonstrates that there was no decline in their functional capacity. Regarding quality of life, the sample did not present losses in most of the evaluated domains. Finally, no correlation was found with a statistically significant difference between the distance covered in the 6MWT and the functional capacity, according to the PCFS (p=0.314, r=0.219). Conclusion: Therefore, it is concluded that in the present study, the functional capacity was preserved and the quality of life did not show impairment in most of the evaluated domains. However, it is worth mentioning that the domains of the quality of life questionnaire with the lowest scores need adequate assistance, so that they do not compromise the health status of individuals.
