| Resumo: | This work seeks to highlight the role of the University Library remotely through an analysis of the Virtual Reference Service of the Zila Mamede Central Library, presenting the concepts and definitions as well as origins, applications of the virtual reference service in a broader way. The general objective of the research is to evaluate the Virtual Reference Service of the Zila Mamede Central Library, focusing on the promotion, dissemination, use of information and guidance to users. Methodologically, it is a bibliographical, exploratory and applied research, based on the observation of the Virtual Reference Service, available on the BCZM website, linked to the Library System of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. The evaluation is based on screenshots and comments subsidized by the theoretical framework. As a result, it describes the services available on the site in question and considers that the Virtual Reference Service is being mediated efficiently and adequately. |
