Resumo:Brazil is a country of continental dimensions and data from one region are not always reflected in the other. This research sought to map the differences between civil states in each region of Brazil The present study seeks to calculate the probabilities of transition to Brazilian regions by gender and age in 2019. Currently, the concern to understand the demographic changes that have occurred in Brazil and in the world raises questions about how people's marital behavior influences fertility, mortality, and migration rates. Thus, the objective of this work is to analyze the transitions between conjugal states classified by gender and age of the Brazilian population by region for the year 2019 using multistate tables. The "multi-state" life table is an effective method for analyzing the effect of marriage because it allows tracking a cohort of births (real or hypothetical) exposed to a set of rates of marriage, divorce, widowing and mortality by marital status. Thus, this methodology is a tool capable of synthesizing marital dynamics, as it provides a detailed framework for analyzing trends and differences in family formation and dissolution. Finally, it is concluded that, within the same country, the data vary between them.
