Resumo:The objective of this study is to verify the competitive advantage of companies in the electricity sector listed on B3, from 2017 to 2021, as a reference to Warren Buffett's philosophy. The research becomes important, in the sense of highlighting an analysis model not so usual in the academic scenario and spreading about the competitiveness of companies in the energy segment. To achieve this objective, a weighting system was used, adjusting for each item and indicator, the score of 0.38 points annually, when the established requirements were met. The results obtained showed that the company with the highest competitive factor was afluente (7.00 points). The study also generated implications for the regions and the segment, such as the predominance of seven companies located in the Southeast region among the ten best classified and among the first four companies that scored above 6.00 points, three fit in the transmission segment. Finally, it was concluded that the energy sector presented a low potential for competitiveness in relation to the sector average (3.68 points).
