Resumo:This article aims to analyze and identify elements used by the Samba school Acadêmicos do Grande Rio, in its 2022 parade. The plot ”Fala, Majeté! Sete Chaves de Exu”, presents the guardian orixá of communication, who acts as a messenger between human beings and the deities. However, the way it was erroneously syncretized into a Christian devil by the colonizers, is still linked to the personification of evil, as a result of religious racism in Brazilian society. The analysis visits the proposal of the parade that makes a reflection having as a starting point the locality of the samba school, the city of Duque de Caxias, and departs for a journey through several stories, questions and Exus that spread throughout Brazil in a way timeless. Colors, costumes, elements and symbols help to understand the demystification of the figure of Exu and an encounter with his presence in the midst of society.
