Resumo: | This research aims to elucidate the influence of capital on street art productions. The
commercialization of graffiti is a facet of the cultural industry in capitalist society, which
objectifies art and seeks to standardize it so that it can be consumed by the greatest number of
people. Thus, it is assumed that the influence of capital can remove the critical and individual
character of this Urban Art. The methodology used in the research is image analysis,
developed by the author Martine Joly. Images of works by muralist Eduardo Kobra and
graffiti artist Banksy were used. It is concluded that capital directly influences the realization
of art, its support and the message of the works. |
