| Resumo: | The importance of the pharmaceutical professional working in community pharmacies, when guiding about the rational use of prescribed or over-the-counter medications, so that the patient performs the treatment in the best and safest way possible, is an exclusive function of this professional, as recommended by the legislation current. The World Health Organization (WHO) in March 2020, officially declared the Sars-cov-2 (COVID-19) pandemic, a respiratory virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), which has lasted for almost two years, with a high number of deaths in Brazil. In addition, a few months ago, an outbreak of Influenza (H3N2), which, like Sars-cov-2, is a respiratory virus, both with similar symptoms, and reached Brazil on a large scale, which ended up generating many doubts in the population, who, lacking reliable information, search the internet for a way to solve their doubts. This study aims to contribute to the importance of the pharmacist in therapy, clarifying patients, who question at all times about the pathological process of COVID-19, guiding them and correcting therapeutic procedures aimed at their well-being. That sometimes they end up not looking for the health service, which leads them to use medication on their own or on the recommendation of relatives or acquaintances. Based on a brief review of the descriptive literature, a search was carried out in electronic databases in the electronic databases of BIREME, SCIELO, PubMed, Conselho Federal de Farmácia (CFF) and consisted of critically analyzing publications on flu syndromes in COVID-19 pandemic. |
