Resumo:Electronic sports, also known as e-sports, use the competitive structure of video games to promote professional tournaments and distribute million-dollar prizes. Considering that several Brazilian journalistic vehicles produce content about these competitions and use social networks to keep the esports community informed, this dissertation analyzes the coverage of the Free Fire World Series 2019 event by Mais Esports. Starting from the analytical model proposed by Gambarato and Tárcia (2018), and taking concepts such as transmedia journalism (ARAÚJO, 2014; MOLONEY, 2011; RENÓ, FLORES, 2018) to the context of specialized electronic sports journalism, the research investigated the strategies of transmediation (FECHINE et al, 2013) used in publications carried out from 11/01/2019 to 11/30/2019; on the vehicle's website, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. The study concluded that the content posted during the coverage used propagation and expansion strategies to stimulate the interest of followers in the Free Fire world championship, taking advantage of the potential of transmedia narratives to bring the main events of the competition to the fans.
