A perspectiva da biodiversidade no ensino de zoologia e interfaces com a legislação ambiental
description Zoology corresponds to a branch of the life sciences that has received attention from various studies involved in teaching and learning about the evolution and environmental diversity of organisms. In the present research, we investigated how the relationship between biodiversity and the environment and its interfaces with the environmental legislation were highlighted in works published between 2006 and 2021. We used some elements of the content analysis methodology systematized by Laurence Bardin to select a study sample and categorize the research topics. From this bibliographic material, a study sample was selected encompassing 75 papers that address topics in zoology teaching. The selection of the sample was based on key terms identified in the titles of the publications. These terms were related to: a) biodiversity; b) taxonomy; c) ecology, d) references to environmental education. After a careful reading of the sampled publications, references to environmental legislation were identified and qualitative and quantitative data were considered. After analysis, the publications in the study sample were distributed in the following categories: a) Biodiversity in approaches to animal diversity (n=10); b) Taxonomic approaches in the study of the fauna and the environment (n=7); c) Ecological aspects in the study of animals (n=29) and d) Environmental education in attitudes towards the fauna (n=29). The regulations pertaining to the Brazilian environmental legislation were cited in 34.66% of the publications analyzed. The references to legislation increased over time, ranging from 16% of the sampled publications in the first four-year period (2006-2009) to 88.88% in the last four-year period (2018-2021). The category related to environmental education concentrated the largest number of publications that cited the environmental legislation. References to the legal aspects that regulate the use of biodiversity for didactic and scientific purposes included the Normative Ruling Nr. 03/2014-ICMBio. In order to expand this legal approach towards biodiversity conservation, the informative material entitled “Regulation of didactic activities with biodiversity: the use of animals in learning practices” was elaborated. This material highlights some regulations presented in the Normative Ruling Nr. 03/2014-ICMBio, the Arouca Law, and the Environmental Crimes Law, with the aim of informing interested parties about the legally appropriate procedures with regard to dealing with animals, whether in laboratory or field activities.

A zoologia corresponde a uma área das ciências da vida que tem recebido atenção de vários pesquisadores envolvidos com o ensino e aprendizagem sobre a diversidade evolutiva e ambiental das espécies. Nesse sentido investigou-se nessa pesquisa como a relação da biodiversidade com o meio ambiente e suas interfaces com a legislação ambiental foram destacadas em trabalhos publicados entre 2006 e 2021, produzidos no contexto de ensino e aprendizagem de zoologia de estudantes dos cursos de graduação da área biológica da UFRN. Nesta investigação foram utilizados alguns elementos da metodologia de análise de conteúdo sistematizada por Laurence Bardin. Em momento exploratório delimitou-se um material bibliográfico que permitiu análises e direcionamentos para uma pesquisa enfocando sobre a biodiversidade no percurso do ensino. Desse material bibliográfico selecionou-se uma amostra de estudo com 75 trabalhos produzidos por pesquisadores e/ou estudantes que abordaram temas relacionados às disciplinas que tratavam de conteúdos zoológicos. A organização da amostra ocorreu a partir de termos-chave identificados nos títulos das publicações. Esses termos relacionaram-se com: a) biodiversidade; b) enfoque taxonômico; c) aspecto ecológico e, d) referências à educação ambiental. Após leitura criteriosa dos trabalhos elencados em quatro categorias emergentes, referências à legislação ambiental foram identificadas e dados qualitativos e quantitativos foram considerados. Após análise, os trabalhos da amostra de estudo foram distribuídos nas seguintes categorias: a) A biodiversidade nos enfoques à diversidade animal (n=10); b) Enfoques taxonômicos no estudo da fauna e o meio ambiente (n=7); c) Aspectos ecológicos no estudo dos animais (n=29) e d) A educação ambiental nas atitudes para com a fauna (n=29). As normas e regulamentos da legislação ambiental foram citados em 34,66% das publicações analisadas e foi crescente ao longo do período delimitado, variando de 16% dos trabalhos da amostra no primeiro quadriênio (2006-2009) para 88,88% no último quadriênio (2018-2021). A categoria relativa à educação ambiental concentrou o maior número de trabalhos que evidenciaram a legislação ambiental. Referências aos aspectos legais que regulamentam a realização de atividades para finalidades didáticas e científicas com a biodiversidade in situ incluíram a Instrução Normativa nº 03/2014-ICMBio. Para ampliação desse enfoque jurídico-normativo em prol da biodiversidade, desenvolveu-se o material informativo intitulado “Regulamentação das atividades didáticas com a biodiversidade: o uso de animais em práticas de aprendizagem” que destaca alguns regulamentos dispostos na Instrução Normativa nº 03/2014-ICMBio, na Lei Arouca e na Lei de Crimes Ambientais objetivando informar aos interessados sobre os procedimentos legalmente adequados no que diz respeito ao trato com os animais, seja em atividades de laboratório ou em campo. 2022-12-02T15:25:57Z 2022-12-02T15:25:57Z 2021-12-03 masterThesis MELO, Gisele Silva Marques de.
