Resumo:This research emerged from the identification of difficulties faced by students in the literacy process, the lack of ethnic-racial representation in the teaching materials available at schools, and the ineffective teacher training regarding the use of Information Technology in Education. The central issue of this research is how Scratch software can contribute, as a multimodal content creation device, for the production of literacy proposals, through contact with AfroBrazilian culture and with a pedagogical approach based on creative learning. The general objective of the research is to analyze the use of Scratch as an auxiliary device for the creation of multimodal content with ethnic-racial representation. The methodological approach will be qualitative, exploratory in nature in terms of objectives, experimental and action-research in terms of technical procedures. The specific objectives are: i) Evaluate the ethnic-racial representation in the teaching materials used in the literacy process; ii) Analyze the research collaborators' previous knowledge about the principles behind Scratch; iii) Qualitatively verify if there are ethnic-racial references in the initial productions of the research collaborators; iv) Analyze whether the participants' multimodal content productions contemplate the working principles of Scratch. As a result of this research, it was concluded that the didactic books used in Brazilian schools still do not properly comply with the Law nº 10.639/2003, amended by Law nº 11.645/2008, with no representation and proportionality of the Brazilian black population in them. As an alternative, and to contribute to this lack of representation in the classic learning materials, the present research proposes the creation of multimodal projects in Scratch, with ethnic-racial themes. Additionally, this allows the further introduction of concepts related to informatics in education, the importance of which was illustrated by the research collaborators' claim to have little mastery of topics such as programming, constructionism and creative learning. In regard to the use of ethnic-racial references in the first productions of the collaborators, there was no mention of Afro-Brazilian History or Culture and only four of the twelve projects developed in Scratch made use of black actors. This highlights the importance of the proportional representation of the Afro-Brazilian population in teaching materials. in order to mitigate the current reality of invisibility of this people in spaces that differ from servile roles. The final production of the research collaborators faced some difficulties related to missed sessions and, at times, the lack of active participation of the collaborators in the classes in remote format. However, the difficulties were overcome and did not hinder the success in the creation of innovative projects and with ethnic-racial representation, that demonstrated some of the working principles of Scratch, such as playfulness, working in pairs, the possibility of being shared, the possibility of creation and the use of multimodal content. This research has successfully produced several examples of concept content that provide contact with AfroBrazilian History, demonstrating that the Scratch software can be used in the exploration of any area of knowledge. The use of information technology in education can serve to promote access, sharing and creation of works that address ethnic-racial themes. As a product, an e-book was developed with pedagogical guidelines based on the creative learning approach, for the use of Scratch for the production of multimodal content, with the availability of materials that can promote contact with ethnic-racial references and encourage the improvement of skills of reading and writing.
