description The “Sertão” imagery condenses the actual construction of the identity of the Northeast, in the view of most of the Southern population (ie, the South and the Southeast) of Brazil, homogenizing the various cultural hetereogeineic references of the Northeast. That is why, throughout the Brazilian literary construction, this space will always be taken into various aesthetics in stereotyped nuances. Thus, according to the above mentioned, this paper aims to resolve this jaundiced view around the Northeast (and the Northeast itself) through a reconfiguration of universal identity and cultural space that became known as the “Sertão” which turned to be the synthesis of this Brazilian region. The reconfiguration of universal space was observed from an original artistic aesthetic, herein called as hyper regional, observed from a comparative study of the novels "Grande sertão: veredas" (“The devil to pay in the backlands", 1963) by João Guimarães Rosa and "Romance d’A Pedra do Reino e o Príncipe do Sangue do Vai-e-Volta” by Ariano Vilar Suassuna. For this purpose, we start from the essay “Literatura e Subdesenvolvimento" ("Literature and Underdevelopment") by Antonio Cândido, which draws a line in the historical transformations of regional aesthetic reasons in an ideological-economic view of each literary period from Brazilian Romanticism (XIX century). However, while one utilizes several theoretical lines to trace this new aesthetic, the baseline of this analysis is, essentially, in Bakhtin (1998, 2003, 2008, 2009) where leaning over the category of the narrator and its discourse (in the hyper-regional aesthetic), observe the intense hybridity of the novel form. To explain this intense form of dilution, one established two review processes that we call narrative and swirling effect matrioshka (explained in the central chapters of the thesis). Finally, Corning to the analysis of the "chronotope" of the Hinterland (cronotopia main aesthetic hyper-regional cronotopos that articulates the "Autobiographical Romance" and "Romance of Chivalry" mentioned by Bakhtin in his book "Issues of literature and aesthetics: Theory of the Novel, "1998) will achieve the concept of identity of the "dynamic rooting " proposed by Michel Maffesoli.

O Sertão condensa a própria construção imagética da identidade nordestina, na visão de boa parte dos habitantes sulistas (isto é, das regiões Sul e Sudeste) do Brasil, homogeneizando as diversas referências heterogênicas culturais do Nordeste. Daí, porque ao longo da nossa construção literária, esse espaço será sempre retomado em diversas estéticas com nuances estereotipadas. Assim, tendo em vista o exposto, este trabalho pretende dirimir essa visão preconceituosa em torno do nordestino (e do próprio Nordeste) através de uma reconfiguração universal desse espaço identitário e cultural denominado Sertão que se tornou síntese dessa região brasileira. A reconfiguração universal desse espaço foi observada a partir de uma estética artística original que denominamos de hiper regional constatada a partir de um estudo comparativo entre os romances “Grande sertão: veredas” de João Guimarães Rosa e “Romance d’A Pedra do Reino e o Príncipe do Sangue do Vai-e-volta” de Ariano Vilar Suassuna. Para tal intento, partimos do ensaio “Literatura e Subdesenvolvimento” de Antonio Cândido, no qual traça uma linha histórica nas transformações da estética regional fundamentando se em uma visão económico-ideológica de cada período literário a partir do romantismo brasileiro (séc.XIX). No entanto, apesar de nos utilizarmos de várias linhas teóricas para traçar essa nova estética, a linha-mestra de nossa análise estará, essencialmente, em Bakhtin (1998; 2003; 2008; 2009) onde se debruçando sobre a categoria do narrador e de seu discurso (na estética hiper-regional), observaremos o intenso hibridismo da forma romanesca. Para explicar essa intensa diluição da forma, estabelecemos dois processos de análise que denominamos de redemoinho narrativo e efeito matrioshka (explicados nos capítulos centrais da tese).
