description The objective of this study is to analyze the role of Primary Health Care in the care of Women in Situations of Domestic and Family Violence in the city of Assú/RN, from the perspective of intersectoriality and integrality of care. This is a descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach. The investigation took place in April 2022, through the use of a field diary and semi-structured individual interviews, developed with 8 professionals who work in the Basic Health Units and in the Health Management of the municipality. Data analyzed from content analysis according to Bardin. The results show that the role of Primary Health Care in the care of women in situations of violence is difficult to approach, demonstrated by the difficulty of identifying and recognizing violence against women in their daily lives, aggravated by the absence of an internal and external care flow. intersectoral and the lack of information and lack of knowledge on the part of professionals regarding the Service Network, its functioning and articulation, limiting referrals to certain sectors of this network. The fragility in the organization with regard to this service, added to the professionals' unpreparedness or fear of dealing with the problem, as well as the difficulty in understanding the functioning of the Service Network in dealing with violence against women, make the care fragmented and discontinuous. Thus, the need for Primary Health Care to understand its role within this network is identified based on the recognition of demands, with guidance, reception and qualified listening, procedures and appropriate referrals, from the perspective of comprehensive care.

O objetivo deste estudo é analisar a atuação da Atenção Primária à Saúde no cuidado às mulheres em situação de violência doméstica e familiar no município de Assú/RN, na perspectiva da intersetorialidade e integralidade da atenção. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva e exploratória, com abordagem qualitativa. A investigação ocorreu no mês de abril de 2022, por meio da utilização de um diário de campo e de entrevistas individuais semiestruturadas, desenvolvidas com 8 profissionais que atuam nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde e na Gestão da Saúde do município. Dados analisados a partir da análise de conteúdo segundo Bardin. Os resultados mostram que a atuação da Atenção Primária à saúde no cuidado às mulheres em situação de violência é de difícil abordagem, demonstrada pela dificuldade de identificar e reconhecer a violência contra a mulher no seu cotidiano, agravada pela ausência de um fluxo de atendimento interno e intersetorial e pela desinformação e desconhecimento por parte dos profissionais quanto Rede de Atendimento, seu funcionamento e articulação, limitando os encaminhamentos a determinados setores dessa rede. A fragilidade na organização no que diz respeito a este atendimento, somada ao despreparo dos profissionais ou receio em lidar com a problemática, assim como a dificudade em compreeender o funcionamento da Rede de Atendimento no enfrentamento da violência contra a mulher, tornam o cuidado fragmentado e descontínuo.
