Resumo:Maintenance of electrical equipment is essential for the full and effective functioning of the energy distribution system. Taking into account the various problems faced by these elements, it is possible to observe that the frequency of maintenance is an important factor to be analyzed in the decision making of a team that aims at the safety of the system and the workers. Therefore, the work presented here aims to analyze the conditions that influence the frequency of preventive maintenance, integrating with the new emerging technologies of the Internet of Things. Starting from the idea of objects connected to the internet, this research is based on the use of sensors for real-time monitoring of the environmental and electrical conditions of a substation. It explores the sensors that would be useful for certain applications and how the maintenance plan of a large system could adapt to the metrics provided by them. The study case is carried out at UFRN substations, which are integrated into a regular maintenance plan, but which face problems due to the lack of constant monitoring.
