Pillars of the so-called fourthindustrial revolution, these tools provide advantages such as online data storage, collaborativework, ease of access and information sharing. However, even in the face of the potentialbenefits and other possibilities arising from the use of such technology, it is not yet fullyunderstood how these tools are accepted and used by individuals. This gap is also present inthe work context of educational institutions, causing organizational efforts and resources to bewasted and promising technologies for improving services to be unusable. In view of this, thepresent research aimed to describe the acceptance and use of cloud computing in theperformance of informational and knowledge activities among technical-administrativeofficers of Postgraduate secretariats of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Themethodological approach used was based on a quantitative and descriptive approach. As aresearch strategy, a survey was carried out, through the application of a questionnaire basedon the Model of Acceptance and Use of Integrated Technology, TAM 3, in addition tosociodemographic questions, applied to UFRN Postgraduate secretaries, to capture theirperceptions with regard to the use and acceptance of cloud computing tools. The populationwas divided into two groups, who responded to the survey regarding cloud storage tools anddocument editors, respectively. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, usingmeasures of central tendency and dispersion, in addition to frequency distribution, and aseven-point likert scale to assess the TAM3 constructs. As a result, it was possible to verify,regarding the evaluation of the acceptance of cloud computing by users in the organization, ahigh incidence and frequency of use. The most used tool typologies were e-mail, followed bystorage and finally by cloud document editors, in which the vast majority make use mainly ofGoogle products. Regarding the two models researched, storage and document editors, it wasseen that the purposes of use range from general to more specific. Both types of tools reachedvery similar results with identical or very close acceptance levels. Of the 50 inquiries madebased on the TAM3, only 8 obtained slight quantitative differences, with distinction of thedegree of acceptance, however, the comparative analysis found that there was no significantdifference. Finally, it became evident that the cloud technologies evaluated here are presentedwith appropriate use and showing that the applications are true allies to the Information andKnowledge Management practiced by the secretaries in their workplaces. Entre as Tecnologias da Informação (TI) que possibilitam melhorias no desempenho dasatividades informacionais, destacam-se as ferramentas de computação em nuvem. Pilares dachamada quarta revolução industrial, essas ferramentas proporcionam vantagens como oarmazenamento de dados online, trabalho colaborativo, facilidade de acesso ecompartilhamento de informações. Porém, mesmo diante dos benefícios potenciais e demaispossibilidades advindas do uso dessa tecnologia, ainda não está completamente elucidadocomo se dão a aceitação e uso dessas ferramentas pelos indivíduos. Tal lacuna também estápresente no contexto laboral das instituições de ensino, fazendo com que esforços e recursosorganizacionais sejam desperdiçados e tecnologias promissoras para a melhoria de serviçossejam inutilizadas. Em vista disso, a presente pesquisa teve como objetivo descrever aaceitação e o uso da computação em nuvem no desempenho das atividades informacionais ede conhecimento entre servidores técnicos-administrativos de secretarias de Pós-Graduaçãoda Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. O percurso metodológico utilizado teve porbase uma abordagem quantitativa e descritiva. Como estratégia de pesquisa foi realizado umlevantamento, por meio da aplicação de um questionário baseado no Modelo de Aceitação eUso de Tecnologia Integrado, TAM 3, além de questões sociodemográficas, aplicado aossecretários de Pós-Graduação da UFRN, para captar as suas percepções no que diz respeito aouso e aceitação das ferramentas de computação em nuvem. A população foi dividida em doisgrupos, que responderam à pesquisa a respeito de ferramentas de armazenamento e editoresde documentos em nuvem, respectivamente. A análise dos dados foi feita utilizando estatísticadescritiva, por meio de medidas de tendência central e dispersão, além de distribuição defrequências, e uma escala likert de sete pontos para avaliar os constructos do TAM3. Comoresultado, foi possível verificar, quanto à avaliação da aceitação da computação em nuvempelos usuários na organização, uma alta incidência e frequência de uso. As tipologias deferramentas mais utilizadas foram o e-mail, seguido do armazenamento e finalmente doseditores de documentos em nuvem, onde a grande maioria faz uso principalmente dosprodutos Google. Com relação aos dois modelos pesquisados, armazenamento e editores dedocumentos, foi visto que as finalidades de utilização vão desde geral até mais específica.Ambos tipos de ferramentas obtiveram resultados bastante semelhantes com níveis deaceitação idênticos ou muito próximos. Dos 50 questionamentos feitos com base no TAM3,apenas 8 obtiveram leves diferenças quantitativas, com distinção do grau de aceitação, porém,a análise comparativa constatou que não houve uma diferença significativa. Por fim, ficouevidente que as tecnologias em nuvem aqui avaliadas se apresentam com uso apropriado,mostrando que as aplicações são verdadeiras aliadas à Gestão da Informação e doConhecimento praticadas pelos secretários em seus locais de trabalho.
