Resumo: | With the advancement of information and communication technologies, the need for quality
in network services is constantly increasing. New applications and services whose operation
depends on data transmission over computer networks, such as the Internet, are appearing all the
time. As a result, several challenges arise to maintain the quality of these connections, such as
the speed and reliability of data transmission. Given their complexity, these new applications
are very susceptible to existing problems in data transmission through computer networks.
Therefore, a detailed knowledge of its impact, which until recently had less significance, is
now crucial to maintain the quality of the service provided. There are several ways to analyze
a computer network in order to try to identify the problem that is happening. One of them is
the verification of the quality of the service through metrics computed through the monitoring
of the network, such as throughput, delay, delay variation and packet losses. This work aims
to approach ways of analyzing the data that are generated through the use of the network with
existing and consolidated tools in the area of network management. Furthermore, in conjunction
with machine learning algorithms, it is intended to perform the classification of transmission
problems in computer networks, based on the data collected. With this, it is intended to present
directions in order to assist in the task of administration and management of computer networks. |
