description This research proposed to build a didactic sequence, entitled "Economic Activities in Serra do Mel-RN", exploring the tool of audiovisual resources of local themes with students of the 6th year of Elementary School. The problematization of the work indicated the hypothesis that, considered a local reality, it is possible to build geographic knowledge from the content of videos. The study thus sought to understand the process of pedagogical didactic organization in the challenge of approaching the spaces of teaching experience. It was considered that access to digital information helps us, as teachers, to advance in a challenge of geographic education, one in which, being the student subject of learning, and holder of knowledge from his experience, we are able to reconcile scientific knowledge with everyday knowledge, that is, knowledge that comes from the student's own geographical context. On the one hand, we have, for example, the textbook and, on the other hand, the possibility of research on contents that are expressed from the student's own reality. The application of the research showed us that it is essential for the teacher to know the most attractive and engaging tools that he has at his disposal for use and learning. It is necessary to integrate technology, students' experiences, be available to deal with the new, enable the exchange of experiences between teacher and student to raise awareness of the existing relationships between society and nature.

Esta pesquisa se propôs a construir uma sequência didática, intitulada “Atividades Econômicas em Serra do Mel-RN”, explorando a ferramenta de recursos audiovisuais de temáticas locais com alunos do 6º ano, do Ensino Fundamental. A problematização do trabalho indicou a hipótese de que, considerada uma realidade local, é possível construir conhecimentos geográficos a partir do conteúdo de vídeos. O estudo buscou, assim, compreender o processo de organização didático pedagógico em desafio de se aproximar dos espaços de experiência docente. Considerou-se que o acesso a informações digitais ajuda-nos, enquanto docentes, a avançar em um desafio da educação geográfica, aquele em que, sendo o aluno sujeito da aprendizagem, e detentor de saberes de sua experiência, consigamos conciliar os conhecimentos científicos com os conhecimentos do cotidiano, isto é, aqueles que vem do próprio contexto geográfico do aluno. Por um lado, temos, por exemplo, o livro didático e, por outro, a possibilidade de pesquisa sobre conteúdos que estejam expressos a partir da própria realidade do aluno. A aplicação da pesquisa nos demonstrou que é fundamental que o professor conheça as ferramentas mais atrativas e envolventes que tem à sua disposição para o uso e aprendizado.
