Such solutions bring benefits both from the point of view of Health Services management, as well as clinical monitoring and patient care and are used in different environments, such as hospitals, clinics, and laboratories, among others. Considering the diversity of types of solutions that can be used in the health context and the potential gain that can be obtained by integrating data from these different solutions, the creation of systems that facilitate the integration between solutions, such as Middleware, appear as an option. However, the review of the state of the art carried out in this work showed that the Middleware Platforms for Health Information Systems are focused on specific areas and do not use open interoperability standards that facilitate the development and exchange of information from different clinical data, such as the HL7 F HIR. It is based on this context that this work describes a Middleware Based on the HL7 F HIR Standard for Health Information Systems. In this sense, throughout the work, the requirements of the solution will be described, as well as details of its architecture and implementation, resulting in the realization of two Proofs of Concept carried out with 7 health applications integrated from the Middleware developed. A prestação de serviços de saúde está, cada vez mais, sendo apoiada por diferentes soluções tecnológicas, como por exemplo, Sistemas de Informação de Saúde (SIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR) ou soluções baseadas em eHealth e mHealth. Tais soluções trazem benefícios tanto do ponto de vista de gestão de Serviços de Saúde, quanto do acompanhamento clínico e do cuidado com pacientes e são utilizadas em diferentes ambientes, como hospitais, clínicas e laboratórios, dentre outros. Considerando a diversidade de tipos de soluções que podem ser utilizadas no contexto da saúde e o ganho potencial que se pode obter ao integrar dados dessas diferentes soluções, a criação de sistemas que facilitem a integração entre soluções, como as Plataformas de Middleware, surgem como opção. No entanto, a revisão do estado da arte realizada neste trabalho evidenciou que as Plataformas de Middleware para Sistemas de Informação de Saúde são focadas em áreas específicas e não utilizam padrões de interoperabilidade abertos que facilitem o desenvolvimento e a troca de informações de diferentes dados clínicos, como o HL7 F HIR. É com base nesse contexto que neste trabalho é descrito um Middleware Baseado no Padrão HL7 F HIR para Sistemas de Informação de Saúde.
