总结: | The present dissertation has as its goal to present the contextualization of the digital
transformation in Law 4.0, the innovation and strategy used by the Costa Barros law firm in
two scenarios: pre-pandemic, in 2019, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020 and 2021,
as well as to point to perspectives for the post-pandemic scenario. Through this unique case
study, and through “naturalistic generalization”, the expectation is to be able to contribute to
the betterment of the digital transformation and longevity of other law firms. The innovation is
analyzed based on concepts from various authors, also demonstrating the importance of a
revision in the strategic planning of law firms to face the crisis provoked by the pandemic. The
present study proves itself relevant when considering that this crisis scenario has impacted more
than one million Brazilian lawyers and by the fact that Brazil holds 98% of labour suits in the
world. Also relevant is the functioning period of the analyzed law firm, which spans more than
20 years and has promoted a self-transformation to stay competitive during the ongoing
pandemic. This work presents the foundations of digital transformation in Brazil and various
aspects of artificial intelligence in the legal field. Considering that digital transformation is not
only a matter of use of technology, but also a change in strategic planning, this work addresses
the evolution of strategic planning and how the subject law firm adapted to the new work
conditions, especially regarding the home office and its role as a driving force for digital
transformation, addressing many practical aspects of people management, planning and
technologies which are being used in the aforementioned law firm. Furthermore, this work also
presents how the culture of innovation and permanent learning of the team was formed, starting
from the consolidation of purpose until the development of initiatives to generate value for the
clients and the team. At the end some conclusions are presented, highlighting technology as an
ally of legal work, as well as the practical applicability of the present study and suggestions for
future studies related to Law 4.0. |
